This service is only for the First Generation iPod touch. The First Generation iPod touch does not have exterior volume controls, and the Second and Third Generation iPod touch models do have volume controls on the side of the device. The Third Generation iPod touch displays model number A1318 on the back, while the 2nd Gen displays A1288.
